How to use them

How to use a CV example properly

An example answers the practical questions: what order to use, how long a profile runs, what an achievement looks like in one line. Study the example matching your situation first — then its mechanics, not its content.

Copy the skeleton, never the sentences. Recruiters on InfoJobs and LinkedIn see copied examples daily, and duplicated text undermines you instantly. Steal the pattern — action verb, task, number — and fill it with your own facts.

By situation

What changes depending on your profile

  • Sin experiencia (no experience) Formación leads the page. Prácticas (internships), Erasmus projects, volunteering and part-time work are written like jobs — with dates, tasks and results. Availability and languages become selling points.
  • Con experiencia (with experience) Experience dominates; education contracts to one or two lines. Every recent role shows scope — people, budget, volume — and at least one quantified result.
  • Career change The perfil profesional builds the bridge between the old field and the new one; transferable skills and fresh certifications come first.

The traps

Mistakes these examples avoid

  • Duties instead of outcomes 'In charge of the warehouse' describes a post, not a performance. Scope plus result — 'managed stock for 3,000 SKUs with 99.2% inventory accuracy' — is what earns the call.
  • Imprecise dates '2021 – now' without months reads as either careless or hiding something. Month/year precision protects you in both directions.
  • Unverifiable skill inflation 'Excel: expert' collapses at the first pivot-table test. Honest levels ('advanced — pivot tables, lookups') survive interviews.
  • Curriculum vitae, third act Three pages with every course ever taken. If a certificate is older than five years and irrelevant, it is decoration — cut it.

Worked examples

Two complete Spanish CVs

Both follow Spanish conventions — reverse-chronological order, quantified results, A4 length. Shown in English; the structure translates one-to-one.

Example 1 — Shop assistant, first job (sin experiencia)

No paid job yet — and still a page of evidence: customer volumes, reliability across 11 weekends, one adopted suggestion. At entry level, specifics beat seniority.

Example 2 — Marketing technician, 5 years' experience

FAQ

Spanish CV examples: questions

Can I copy these examples word for word?

Copy the structure freely — order and layout are conventions. Rewrite every line from your own experience: recruiters recognise stock examples, and your real numbers will always read better than ours.

How do I write a CV with sin experiencia (no experience)?

Lead with formación, then treat prácticas, volunteering and projects as work experience — dates, provider, tasks, results. Languages, tools and availability carry real weight at entry level.

Should each bullet include a number?

Wherever one exists: people, money, volume, time or percentages. Not every truth is numeric, but a CV without a single figure rarely reaches interviews in competitive Spanish postings.

Do these examples work for Latin America too?

The structure does; the conventions differ slightly by country (photo expectations, personal data, formats). These examples are calibrated for Spain — check the target country's norms before sending.

About this page

This country guide is written and maintained by the people who build the tools it describes, and it is reviewed whenever the product changes.

No external reviewer has approved this page. It carries no named expert, no certification and no reviewer credentials, because the site does not hold any. There is also no sponsored content and no paid placement in a list or comparison.

Because the tools need no account, the site has no ratings, testimonials or user counts to publish. Everything here is either a statement about how the software behaves, which you can test, or a convention you can check with the employer.
