Finance recruiters read for modelling depth and forecast accuracy before anything else. "Built financial models" is invisible; "built the three-statement model behind a £40 million acquisition case" tells them the level.
These financial analyst resume templates produce the conservative, single-column layout this market expects, with systems and qualifications in the positions a keyword search reaches.

Layout, not adjectives
The right template for this field is the one that puts the evidence a financial analyst screen checks first in a document a parser can still read. Style is secondary.
Match the market
What belongs on the page
Three-statement, DCF, driver-based forecast, acquisition case. The type is the signal; reproducing the client's figures is not.
How close the numbers were to outturn, and what you changed to get there.
Power Query, scenario tables, VBA for month-end — not "advanced Excel". Interviewers test that claim.
Evidence that someone outside finance acted on the analysis. Pure reporting roles are being automated.
From template to file
This market has a house style. Matching it is part of looking senior.
"Level I passed, Level II scheduled" is a direction signal. Hiding it wastes one.
Skip methodology paragraphs. They belong in the interview.
Type of model, purpose, outcome — not the figures inside the client's file.
Questions
Describe the type of model, its purpose and the outcome, not the figures inside it. "Built the acquisition case model for a £40 million transaction" is usually safe; reproducing the revenue build is not.
Only when specified. Name the capability. Interviewers test Excel claims routinely.
Yes, with the stage stated. It shows direction, which employers value, and hiding it wastes a signal.
Slightly. Deal-side seats often prefer the denser Banking Analyst or Investment Finance layouts; FP&A usually looks more like Finance Pro or Capital Corporate. The modelling evidence is the same idea in both.
